This course gave a detailed view of the Security Operations Center (SOC). I have a much better understanding of how an SOC is run, what tools are used, and what the various members of an SOC do.

This course contains multiple repeated sentences and grammar errors. It has poor formatting and inconsistent styling with white text on cyan background and dark blue text on slightly darker blue backgrounds. The information provided during reading fails to give relevant specific information and the course fails to provide rigid graphic representations for its concepts such as a comprehensive graphic for the structure of a SOC. The course interchangeably use terms like tire 1/2/3 analyst, threat analyst, responder, etc.,with no rhyme nor reason. The focus of the comprehension tests seems schizophrenic to me, so much so that I believe this course to be mostly if not entirely produced by some generative model. The videos are short and as a result lack relevant information. The videos also have a habit of patting themselves on the back by unironically saying "That was very clear, I understood a lot" to themselves. Unless you are being forced to take this course or specialization as a legal requirement for something, I highly advise against it and instead recommend taking courses that only come from universities. This course signifies a fundamental lack of understanding of teaching principles and fails to convey information in a structured comprehensive manner. By pursuing some hyper-minimalist teaching style, it instead pursued a style of teaching nothing at all; to the point that the tests are three questions long and are actually definition tests for three of the dozen or so words they tried mentioning. The saving grace is that this course provides unlimited test attempts demonstrating how little they must care for their teaching standards.
